Victorian gold and amethyst earrings

A pair of dramatic Victorian yellow gold pendant earrings.  Likely made in England around 1850. The long dimensional earrings have scroll and floral motifs and amethyst wich are reflective of the Victorian age. The lightness of the mount makes them comfortable to wear in spite of their size, this is possible because of the repousse’ technique. 7.5 cm. 

Paio di antichi lunghi orecchini pendenti in oro giallo ed ametiste realizzati molto probabilmente al principio dell’epoca Vittoriana in Inghilterra con la tecnica en repousse’ ovvero a sbalzo. L’ametista, pietra favorita in quell’epoca si sposa perfettamente con L’elaborata ma leggera montatura. 1850 c.a. 7.5 cm
